Two Chinese men arrested for sex trafficking, 3 women rescued

The Irvine Police Department recently apprehended two Asian men suspected of sex trafficking following a tip from a concerned observer. On Wednesday, October 16th, officers responded to reports of illicit activities at a brothel located in the Cypress Village community, situated at the intersection of Interstate 5 and Highway 133. During the operation, authorities successfully rescued three victims.

In a statement released on their social media channels on Friday, October 18th, the Irvine Police identified the two suspects as 51-year-old Qiyin Jia, a resident of Irvine, and 36-year-old Xiaoming Ding, from Whittier. The suspects have since been transported to Orange County Jail, where they are facing charges related to sex trafficking.

The police have provided assistance information to the three victims, who left the scene afterward. Further details about the victims’ conditions have not been disclosed, and it’s unclear whether additional victims may be connected to the suspects.
