On October 23, the 136th China Import and Export Fair Phase II (commonly known as the Canton Fair Phase II) kicked off in Guangzhou, showcasing an impressive variety of exhibitors.
The theme for this year’s Phase II is “Quality Home Products,” encompassing a total exhibition area of 515,000 square meters, featuring 24,739 booths and drawing 10,040 participating companies—an increase of 220 from the last session.

The online platform has also seen substantial engagement, with nearly 1.59 million products uploaded for display. The exhibition covers three main categories: household goods, gifts and decorations, and building materials and furniture, organized into 15 distinct areas.
This year’s Fair is placing a stronger emphasis on the “big home” concept, aiming to expand and enhance professional sectors to better cater to global buyers seeking diverse, high-quality home products. The building materials and furniture section spans over 140,000 square meters with 6,510 booths and 3,123 participating companies. The gifts and decorations section covers more than 190,000 square meters, boasting 9,372 booths and 3,792 companies. Each segment meets the scale of a large professional exhibition, facilitating comprehensive industry promotion, enhancing appeal to buyers, and improving the efficiency of procurement processes, fostering collaboration across the industry.
While the offline event is underway, the online platform has also seen notable improvements in quality. As of October 21, nearly 1.59 million products were uploaded to the Phase II exhibition online, including 429,000 new items, 129,000 self-owned intellectual property products, 305,000 green low-carbon products, and 48,000 smart products, showcasing significant contributions to industry development and green innovation.
On the import side, Phase II features 267 exhibitors from 33 countries and regions, including national delegations from Turkey, South Korea, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Egypt, Japan, and Vietnam, focusing on kitchen utensils, household goods, gifts, and promotional items. Noteworthy participation comes from 185 companies across 22 Belt and Road Initiative countries, representing around 69% of foreign exhibitors.
The Canton Fair Phase II has attracted several important international business groups and major multinational companies. Approximately 30 foreign delegations, including the China-Britain Business Council, the Franco-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce, are participating. Around 140 prominent companies, such as Coop Italia from Italy, Sainsbury’s from the UK, and Aeon from Japan, are organizing buyers to attend.
