Stanbic IBTC Hosts NSACC Breakfast Session
In an effort to advance sustainable energy solutions across Africa, Stanbic IBTC recently held the Nigeria South Africa Chamber of Commerce’s September Breakfast Session in Lagos. The event was centered around the theme “Energy Transition: Identifying the Need and Financing the Opportunities.”
At this gathering, a diverse group of industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders came together to engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and explore innovative strategies aimed at tackling the challenges of energy transition and the financing opportunities these initiatives offer.
Wole Adeniyi, the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Bank, underscored the importance of collaboration between Nigeria and South Africa in driving sustainable economic growth and development. He highlighted the pivotal role of the financial sector in facilitating cross-border investments and transactions crucial for Africa’s economic integration.
Furthermore, Adebola Seriki, Sector Head of Conglomerates & Industrials at Stanbic IBTC Bank, along with Richard Inegbedion, Sector Head of Energy & Infrastructure, Business & Commercial Clients, provided a comprehensive analysis of the current state and future potential of the energy sector. Their discussion particularly emphasized renewable energy while addressing the electrification challenges and opportunities that Africa faces in 2023.
