Chengdu Children’s -Three Balls- Sports Carnival Opens, Sichuan and Chongqing Cute Children Enjoy Sports

On the morning of October 19, 2024, the Second Children’s “Three Major Ball” Sports Carnival kicked off at Chengdu University. The event saw approximately 1,200 young athletes from nearly 100 kindergartens across Chengdu, Chongqing, Deyang, Meishan, and Ziyang participating in the opening ceremony.

Hosted by the Chengdu Sports Bureau and organized by the Chengdu Event Operations Center and Chengdu University, this carnival aims to creatively expand the promotion of the “Three Major Ball” sports—football, basketball, and volleyball—while enhancing the diversity of sports activities for young children and establishing a public service system for early childhood physical education.

The carnival will run until November 16 and features two main themes: the “Three Balls Fun” games and the “Love the Three Balls” challenge games.

The “Three Balls Fun” games consist of various engaging activities centered around the three sports, including a football shooting contest, a basketball mini giant challenge, and a volleyball relay. These games aim to allow young children to experience the joy of participating in the “Three Major Ball” sports in a playful manner. The “Love the Three Balls” challenge games, on the other hand, involve competitive matchups that emphasize teamwork and competition. The challenge games will progress through three stages: group play, advancement rounds, and final challenges, with over 1,600 matches expected to take place.

Since the launch of registration for the Second Children’s “Three Major Ball” Sports Carnival in Chengdu, it has garnered significant attention from kindergartens in Sichuan and Chongqing. So far, more than 500 kindergarten teams and nearly 6,500 young athletes have signed up to compete.
