Macau’s immersive children’s drama -Trick or Treat Nursery- staged in Xi’an
On October 27, the immersive children’s play “Troublemaker’s Daycare,” created by the Macao Frost and Snow Creative Experimental Theatre, took the stage at the International Children’s Theatre Week of the 10th Silk Road International Arts Festival in Xi’an.
The play “Troublemaker’s Daycare” explores themes of growth and companionship, utilizing rich body language and whimsical dialogues. It not only showcases the imaginative world of children but also imparts educational concepts such as teaching by example and personalized learning.
Gao Yongshi, the producer and lead actor of the production, shared that one of the goals of the young artistic team from Macao is to create works that blend artistry with social relevance. “We hope to inspire positive thinking and convey meaningful messages that contribute to a strong sense of social ethics,” he explained.
In addition to participating in the Silk Road International Arts Festival, this children’s play has already been performed in several cities this year. Gao expressed his eagerness for more opportunities to share Macao’s unique theatrical features and urban culture in different locations, aiming to contribute to the preservation and development of Chinese culture.
