In a recent interview, Delta Electronics’ Chief Sustainability Officer, Zhou Zhihong, shared exciting plans for the company’s future. According to reports from Japanese media, Delta Electronics, a key supplier for Nvidia, intends to establish renewable energy power plants in India and Thailand as part of its efforts to enhance global supply chain decarbonization.

Zhou emphasized the company’s commitment to using 100% renewable energy across its global operations by 2025. Last year, Delta achieved a global usage rate of 76% for renewable energy, with European operations reaching a perfect score of 100%. In contrast, operations in mainland China stood at 91%, while figures for Thailand and India were significantly lower, at just 41% and 12%, respectively.

Currently, Delta is in the process of constructing a solar power plant in India and is assessing the potential for wind energy projects. Additionally, the company has secured land in Thailand for the development of solar facilities.

Furthermore, Delta is collaborating with a subsidiary of the UK-listed company Ceres Power to develop hydrogen fuel cell technology, with plans to commence mass production in 2026.
