Since the start of the college football season on August 24, the intercollegiate football competitions across the United States have been heating up. As we approach Week 4, which runs from September 16 to 22, the team representing Penn State University has been showcasing some impressive performances — scoring over 55 points in a single game and achieving three consecutive victories.

In contrast, Kent State University faced a tumultuous defeat on the afternoon of the 21st, losing 0-56 on the road in front of a packed crowd. Expectations were high for the home team, and they delivered, racking up 28 points in both halves and maintaining possession for a total of 35 minutes and 41 seconds.

Despite not committing any turnovers, Kent State struggled against the opponent’s tight defense, managing only 67 yards of offense. By comparison, the Penn State team, while experiencing one turnover, amassed a staggering 718 yards in passing and rushing combined.

Penn State’s performance in the first two games of the season sets a strong precedent, as they each scored 34 points.
